    All good points!

I’ve also built a lot WP sites and they are fantastic for quick deployments. WP and BBPress are decent enough – I’ve used BBPress before but found it got a little awkward when the community grows (and this one definately will).

I’ve been involved with a few community projects, and have used a wide range of different systems. The system I keep coming back to again and again though is Invision Power Boards: http://www.invisionpower.com/apps/board/

It’s worth taking a serious look at. You can licence it and host your own, or let them host it for you. I run two IPB communities (one IPB-hosted and one self-hosted) and find the costs are similiar over time.

The main advantage of IPB is that it is built around the concept of community engagement using various media (text forums, image galleries, videos, downloads, etc). It also has a very decent E-Commerce app add-on, which can tie in with the user registration system allowing for some neat tricks.

Also, I certainly didn’t mean to come across as “I know everything about web” – I didn’t realise you we’re a web guy already or I wouldn’t have said anything. Just when I saw the post about a quick site, I thought I’d throw it out there that if you need some help I’d be glad to get involved.

Check out IPB anyway – it has a fairly steep learning curve but is a very robust system.

Its a lot of fun. You need to do experimentation first with all the settings – the recording software, a good headset and mic, and something to edit the vids with afterwards.

I liken it to making dinner – it’s much more rewarding when your cooking for a group of friends than just yourself. That’s why I like to share videos.

Just played my first 90 minutes of the game.. LOVED it. Man this takes me back to the good old days of gaming.

I’m cutting it up into 3 videos and will upload tonight. I’ll post an update once the first video is live on YouTube.

I normally do games like Minecraft, Walking Dead and Civilization V on my channel so this will definitely be new to them 🙂 I’ll also include links to this website and will definitely be promoting that they buy the game in my videos 🙂

Awesome job guys – loving this game

Thanks for the update Alex – that’s a fair call.

In the end for me, the 4th attempt seemed to work overnight so all good for me. A CDN will make a huge difference for new folks though having probs.

Yep in AUus – but I havn’t hit my download quota. I can download everything else at great speeds, but keep tanking out on Last Dream.

I have tried three times – each time it starts reasonably fast, then drops and drops. My last attempt got about 60% of the way through and slowed down to 15 kbps…

I’m a bit lost as to what the issue is!

I guess I’ll try a fourth time now (as I go to sleep). Hopefully its downloaded by the morning – definitely the longest 900 MB file I’ve ever tried to grab 🙂
