During her prologue, the White Mage – Elizabeth – is accompanied by three companions: Baaduri, Gaimi, and Gatsi.
Baaduri grew up in the now mostly forgotten village of Rudia. He was raised not as a warrior, but as a blacksmith. At the age of 18 (37 years ago), he married another villager named Dalila and they raised two children, Gaimi and Gatsi. They lived happily, but uneventfully, for 10 years ago until the shadow of the undead arose in their small village. 27 years ago, their small village was attacked by the undead. Baaduri’s wife, Dalila, was out in the forest picking berries and was one of the first to fall. In his boarded-up home with his two young, frightened sons, Baaduri thought all hope was lost, until the Templar Paladins arrived to destroy the scourge. In the aftermath, Baaduri found that he and his sons were the only survivors and that his wife had perished.
This event was a turning point in his life and he vowed never to be helpless again. It was during this attack that Baaduri met Elizabeth’s father, Arthur – a young Templar Paladin. Baaduri joined the Templar Paladin and has served faithfully for the last ~27 years and attained the rank of Captain. When his sons, Gaimi and Gatsi, came of age, they also joined the Templar Paladins he and has driven them hard to make sure that they never suffer the same anguish that he endured.
Below are Gatsi, Baaduri, and Gaimi from left to right.
Our recent work has focused on creating the roaming and battle sprites for Baaduri, Gaimi, and Gatsi for the White Mage’s prologue. That work is now complete and we’re moving onto enemy cut-ups and mapping of the White Mage prologue.
