Hello everyone!
We’ve just finished up our annual retreat with the entire White Giant RPG Studios team including myself (Andrew), Josh, Mark, Seth, and Chris. We’ve worked hard over the last week to make substantial progress on Last Dream II. Over the last year, we’ve been developing unique graphic art and we’ve only recently developed the tools necessary to integrate our art into maps for Last Dream II.
The image above is the exterior of the first dungeon that the Gray Mage enters during his prologue. The location is known as the “Old Ruins” and is an ancient temple that the inhabitants of the local town, Ashwood, have long forgotten about. We also mapped the entire interior of the Old Ruins and play test through the dungeon.
During this same time, Josh wrote numerous lines of dialogue for NPCs throughout the game, Seth refined and polished the active time battle system, Mark developed unique tileset and icon art, and Chris worked through the kinks in the Set Equipment mechanics.
We’ll all be leaving the retreat tomorrow and flying back to our respective homes, but we will continue to make headway on Last Dream II throughout the rest of the year.
