Other than the Knights Templar, the other key organization in the White Mage prologue is the Red Crystal. The Red Crystal is a charitable organization whose mission is to heal the sick. With their immense talent for healing, White Mages are dearly sought by the Red Crystal; however, the Red Crystal is also composed of those without magical talents who are trained as nurses or as herbal healers.
The White Mages of the Red Crystal often joins forces with the Knights Templar to eradicate the undead because of their affinity with Holy magic, the bane of the undead.
The White Mage, Elizabeth, works for a major Red Crystal outpost located in the port city of Galice on the continent of Nysa. We wanted to make the Red Crystal building in Galice the centerpiece of of the town and needed something unique to make it stand out.
What we decided on was a large stained-glass window pictured above. We’re still developing other unique art for Galice and we hope to share the finalized map of Galice soon!
