White Mage Heal Skill

We’re continuing to develop and test the skills for the White Mage prologue, now with a focus on the White Mage’s skills (as opposed to her Templar companions). Our initial efforts have been one of the White Mage’s foundational skills – Heal. With Last Dream II, we’ve decided that we didn’t need separate “Cure” and “Heal” skills for the White Mage. In the past, “Cure” was the single target healing skill and “Heal” was the party-wide healing skill.

With the switch to the Godot game engine, we now have far more flexibility in our game design and can allow toggle-able skills. So we have combined “Cure” and “Heal” for the White Mage into a single toggle-able skill (“Heal”) which you can see in action in the video. We had already developed the toggle-able skill functionality earlier for the Black/Gray Mage skills like Fire; however, it wasn’t quite ready for action as it was focused on enemy-based skills. We’ve corrected the mechanics and now Heal us fully functional.
