In a prior post, we showed some of the later game equipment but it was not yet integrated into the game. We’ve now completed that integration for many of the new pieces of equipment and wanted to show how they look. In the screenshot above, you can see the Knight equipped with a Mythril Sword – a mid-game weapon.

Our recent work has been parallel work on the Hunter’s prologue, mapping of the White Mage’s first dungeon (the Coastal Cave), and creation of the equipment art for the entire game. One area that has required extra work is the Hunter’s option of using either a bow or dagger which requires different animations for these two weapons.

Princess Ismene is a major character in Last Dream II and makes her debut in the Hunter’s Prologue. Ismene is the daughter of Emperor Leto, the ruler of the powerful nation of Delos. Early in the Hunter’s prologue you’ll learn that Princess Ismene is stopping in the small village of Greenwater (where the Hunter lives) on her way to her impending marriage to the Crown Prince of the neighboring country of Vanheim.

Our graphic artist (www.twitter.com/UncleBladey) recently completed the Zombie enemy art (as well as several variations for later, stronger versions). The Zombie will be encountered as part of the first major quest of Last Dream II after the party forms. The cut-up and animation for the Zombie still remains to be done, but that will be done down the road once we’ve completed all the work on the prologues.

The Black Hawk is an enemy that you’ll encounter during the Hunter’s Prologue. This particular enemy is found in the Northern Dryades Forest which is the second and final dungeon of the Hunter’s Prologue. The other enemies you’ll encounter are the Wild Boar and Dragonfly which we’ll showing in future posts.

In the Northern Dryades Forest, the Hunter (Atalanta) will be joined but another party member, but we don’t want to ruin the surprise!

In the second dungeon of the Hunter’s prologue – the Northern Dryades Forest – you’ll encounter three new enemies including the Dragonfly (shown above). We haven’t performed the decomposition of the individual elements of the Dragonfly in order to animate it, but will be working our way through that task soon.

In most of our previous posts related to Enemy Battlers, we’ve only shown the final product. In this post, I wanted to show the initial draft created by our talented graphic artist. In this case, we’re creating a new “Gremlin” enemy and the new and old show the 2nd and 1st drafts, respectively with a small right turn of the enemy.

Another member of our team has been hard at work over the last few weeks to create unique pixel art for all of the various equipment throughout Last Dream II. A small subset of that equipment, specifically a few selected swords, is shown in the image. The swords include the Cursed Sword, Demonic Sword, and Dragon Sword (from left to right).
